Occasionally
people find themselves in need of a temporary or permanent placement for
exotics they can no longer keep. Many exotics
end up being euthanized in shelters because the shelter employees don’t know
who to call, where to turn, or what to do with these creatures. For that reason we have decided to open our
home to exotics in need of rescue. If
you find yourself in need of placement for your exotic no matter what the
reason; illness, lack of funds, moving to an illegal state, not the pet you
thought it was, no time for him/her, etc… we will do what we can to either take
in your exotic (cage space and knowledge of the species considered of course)
or help you find someone in your area who will.
Should
you need this service please E-Mail Us or
call us at: 307-682-5638 and we will do our best to aid you in any way humanly
possible. IF you feel you are at the end
of your rope and a shelter is your only option, PLEASE reconsider this, many
exotics are killed in shelters every day and there are rescues out there for them
and probably one right in your area. Even if you live in an illegal state we may be
able to help find a way to transport your exotic out of the state so please do
give us a chance to help.
Upon
placing an animal with us you will be asked to sign a form stating you
relinquish your rights to this animal.
We can not return animals once they’ve been relinquished so please if
you aren’t quite sure do call or e-mail us and we’ll try to help you the
decision that feels right for you. We do
NOT pay for rescues and we do not breed rescues so please don’t call or e-mail
us in hopes we will purchase your animal for breeding or other purposes. Rescues will remain here until we or our
veterinarian deem them suitable for adoption.
Some rescues with health problems, advanced age, difficult temperaments,
etc… will not be adopted and will remain here for the remainder of their
lives. Should you place an animal with
us you must understand you relinquish your rights to any further say in that
animal’s future re-homing, medical care, etc…
If we adopt out an animal and the new owners welcome contact we will
certainly set something up but it will be solely at the discretion of myself
and the involved parties.
We
accept no legal liability for animals that come to us in poor health. We will do everything in our power to make
sure they are either nursed back to health or humanely euthanized if they are
beyond help but should your animal fall ill while here the decision to treat or
euthanize will be made solely at our discretion and you will not be consulted.
We
do promise to screen potential new homes very closely; we require a contract
signed before re-homing promising not to breed a rescue or profit from a
re-homed rescue in any way. If you need
to place an animal with us please do E-Mail us. If you are interested in adopting a rescue
from us see our Rescues Available page.
Every
animal that comes into our out of our lives leaves its mark on our hearts and
in our home so we take these things very seriously and we are here to help as
many animals of all kinds as we possibly can.
For
further information, relinquishment contracts, etc… please phone us at:
307-682-5638 or E-Mail
Us.
Because
our rescue operation is small we are not non-profit and all expenses come out
of our pockets. For this reason we have
opened our store at Café
Press and we occasionally hold fund raisers, raffles, etc… if we have a
particularly expensive rescue come in.
We would appreciate any support you could offer be it, supplies, food,
participation in our raffles, donations, or purchasing an item from our Café Press store. Generally raffle or specific fund raising
events will be listed on this page as well as on our home page so if you are
interested in offering your support; please check back.

you,
