Occasionally we may have rescues available for loving PET ONLY homes. Except for extremely expensive rescue cases we do not charge for these. We would however love it if you would donate money to the animal charity of your choice in your new pet's name. We WILL NOT adopt a rescue or retired breeder for the purpose of breeding and should you breed them we will not guarantee the health of the litter or the parent. Terms of
Sale/Shipping/Delivery/Health Guarantee Information
**Please read these terms
closely as you will be asked to sign a similar agreement before we place a baby
in your home and refusal to do so will void the sale and cause you to forfeit
any deposit you may have placed on a baby from us!!**
If you would like to purchase a Hedgehog or Chinchilla from us please e-mail
me. For health and comfort
reasons we WILL NOT touch or disturb hedgehog mothers and their offspring for a
minimum of 2 weeks and in most cases 3 weeks unless absolutely necessary.
We will not sell for re-sale or wholesale under any circumstances so please
don’t ask; we reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone at anytime. Hedgehog
and Chinchilla babies can be reserved once they are sexed, we require a
NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $40.00 upon reservation request and the amount of
time we hold the baby will be determined on a case by case basis. We will
make no exceptions to this rule!! We take reservations as a customer
courtesy and if we hold a baby past the agreed upon time period your deposit
will be forfeit. We prefer certified funds but will accept personal
checks with the understanding your baby may not be picked up until we receive
confirmation from your bank that the check has cleared. ***Wells Fargo
customers please note, in order for us to accept your personal check we will
hold your baby 3 full weeks unless you can offer proof that the funds have
cleared your bank, we are sorry for this inconvenience but Wells Fargo will not
allow verification of funds and are very slow in clearing and returning NSF
funds. *** We keep all babies for a minimum of 8 weeks. Babies can
be reserved via our website although we always encourage you to come and
personally choose your baby and meet the parents. In some cases entrance to our maternity room
may not be allowed due to the risk of cannibalization or rejected litters or if
we can not maintain the level of sanitation we strive for. This is rare but does occur occasionally if
we have nursing joeys or hoglets in the room who are at risk of being
cannibalized or rejected.

We do not breed or guarantee color or size in any of our litters, if you want a
large show quality Chinchilla it may be best for you to wait until we get a
better idea of the final size. Please take note that Hedgehog babies go
through several quilling cycles which can begin anytime after about birth and
can last several months. It is possible for them to change color during
this process not to mention they can be quite grumpy.
Each of our babies comes with a two week health guarantee. If at any time
in your two week period your baby does not meet your expectations in health or
temperament you can return the baby for a refund or exchange, the baby must be
returned at buyer's expense before we will refund your money or give you a
replacement. In the event we have no babies available when you return
yours, you can reserve another baby from the next litters or opt for the
refund. **We reserve the right to request Necropsy &/or a Veterinary
report before offering any refund or replacement due to the death of a baby and
a refund WILL NOT be given under any circumstances if we suspect or the vet
doing the Necropsy confirms neglect or abuse. **
***Special note, if your Hedgehog becomes afflicted with WHS or anything that
mimics the symptoms of WHS we ask that you submit to Necropsy once your
Hedgehog crosses the bridge. If the Necropsy is cost prohibitive please
let us know and we will do what we can to assist you. Upon positive WHS
diagnosis please let us know so that we may discontinue that line and notify
the registry as well as the owners of any littermates and we will gladly give
you a baby from another litter at no cost. Another hedgehog or refund
past the original 2 week guarantee period will only be a considered upon
definite diagnosis of WHS, for more WHS information please see our Hedgehog page and the

We do not guarantee temperament, we do our best to make sure our babies will be
affectionate and tolerant but we can not guarantee the final temperament of
your baby. If you end up with a Hedgehog that is "prickly" or a
Joey that is “crabby” and you can not get them to come around we will be glad
to help you learn to bring them around. We do understand it is possible
to have a Hedgehog that is not friendly no matter what, if that is the case we
will arrange for an exchange or refund, this will be totally at our discretion
and anything past 30 days will be pro-rated. We will warranty Chinchillas
against Malocclusion and if for some reason you decide a Chinchilla is not the
right pet for you please see above and below. We will offer any advice,
counseling, or hands on help you need to assure you and your pet will be happy
together, this includes but is not limited to cage set up, diet counseling,
veterinary referrals and liaison service, and the introductory period. It’s important to understand there is an
“introductory period” with all of these species and they may be a bit grumpy or
withdrawn for a few days. This doesn’t
mean they hate you and if you need help please do let us know!
All of our babies will come with a small bag of food, a printed care sheet,
pedigree, and the required USDA paperwork.
If you are purchasing your baby with the intention of breeding them I
have no problem with that as long as you are honest up front. We will do
our very best to guide you in the right direction. If we feel at any time
you are being less than honest with us regarding your intentions for our
offspring then we will halt the sale immediately and if a deposit has been placed
we will NOT refund it so please be honest and up front regarding your
intentions. Each baby in our home is handled daily and we love them very much
we will not sell them if they will be placed in a harmful or neglectful
situation and you may be asked to prove you are the best home possible for our
baby.
